Press Release for our last game on September 21, 2019 vs White Plains

The game started on time at 3:00 PM & Greenwich made their presence noticed with an outstanding try 3” into the game by our Scrum Half Kevin Morgan. 2” minutes later, our Wing Carlos Martinez scored the second try, letting White Plains know that we meant business. At the 21 & 27 minute marks, White Plains woke up from their slumber by scoring two tries themselves. Greenwich felt the pain and made two more tries by our own T-Bone & Carlos Martinez. At the end of our first half, Greenwich had White Plains on the defense and the score ended 24-14 Greenwich.

During the second half, Greenwich decided to give a rugby lesson to White Plains in stamina, physicality & skills. The Greenwich Grinding machine went into full throttle & scored six additional tries with no response from White Plains. Tries were done again by T-Bone, Carlos Martinez, Kevin Morgan (Total of Four) and Victor Urcilla.

This game showed that White Plains was no match for Greenwich's incredible squad under the direction of our Head Coach Dan Pazio & our forwards Coach Saleem Begg.
The final Score was 64-14 Greenwich.

On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Greenwich defeated two time Division Champions Danbury Mad Hatters, 41-31 in a hard fought game. Our forwards kept their offensive line of balance, not allowing any meaningful yards and allowing our backs to inflict enough punishment to the Mad Hatters. In the second half of the game, Greenwich was able to show their physical fitness to an exhausted opponent.
